I have a couple of questions related to the chrome covered plastic parts on my 75:

1. Has anyone had any success in getting any items re-chromed? The chrome is starting to lift/peel on one of the interior door handle surrounds and on the front grille.
2. Is there an product that can take surface scratches out of the chrome-covered plastic?

Thanks in advance.

Rob

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/7459855420791642/?ref=marketplace_profile&referral_code=undefined
Been listed for 44 wks
For some reason he/she has stopped responding.

I'm interested, but it's a long way from Norwich to view/check over
Can anyone help??

Colleagues!

Hi from a newbie! I've only recently been reminded of this forum and am happy to be here.

I'm also a member of the https://the75andztclub.co.uk forum, and it made me wonder: what is the purpose of this forum?

Well there is a solution which may not be for the purists , but it is ...

I replaced the original gas struts at the bonnet and tailgate on my 75. The originals would have been twenty years old in September.
A vast improvement was evident upon fitting the replacements, just shows how things degrade over time and you don't notice it.
