On an early face lift CDTi the under bonnet pump is now very noisy while I can hear the in tank pump working and so I bought an under bonnet pump. But the battery box front T40 bolts are seized. And so the battery tray cannot come out.

I have a hand held impact driver that will not work. When at the same time the impact driver worked on seized screws on a log burner ...

Question:-

Can anyone tell me how the coolant hoses to a Jatco transmission cooler are arranged on a 75 1.8 auto?
I suspect that the input side to the transmission cooler would be between the thermostat and the inlet to the engine, so that the transmission cooler gets a regulated temperature of coolant. Am I right? But where does it drain? Does it go back into the engine? or does it bypass the ...

Thought I’d introduce myself and my car now I’ve joined the forum.

My question is for tips when changing low pressure diesel pump(s).

On a saloon early Facelift CDTi with dual low pressure pumps, the car runs fine but the under bonnet pump is getting louder for longer if not loud all the time while I now can't hear any noise near the rear seat from the in tank pump .

I was thinking of changing the in tank fuel pump before things go too wrong. And ...
