Absolutely stupid i wonder how long before Starmer follows suit, as we already know he is a sheep and not a shepherd.

It's not been legal here, for a long time. So much so that there's a T4 (Testbook version 4.Computer Diagnostic System) option called bathrobe locking. This isn't remote starting, but is to do with starting the car and going back inside to let it warm up. Highway code rule 123.

OTOH, it's fine with an EV, as you aren't running the engine.
