Now I have cleaned the corroded pin connections on the immobiliser I need to work out why the previous owner left all door cards half off the doors as if the doors were taken apart often while not solving the problem they were searching for.

As the car first drives away from parked the central locking "always" clucks all doors locked. Is this a fault or is it programmed to do that for security? In ...

When the car electrics play up in various ways from parasitic drain to water ingress we face needing to disconnect the battery often while risking the bonnet opening release going wrong. If the alarm, wipers or whatever will not switch off at the same time the bonnet release plays up it all may feel a bit of an unwelcome challenge. So I am wondering about a battery isolator located hidden on the exterior or the ...

Hi, My 1999 Rover is over reading it's fuel level on the gauge and will show appx 1/4 tank despite actually being empty. I've checked the fuel levels via the dash which reported _ _ 0 2 8 7. Can anyone advise why there'd be no reading on the left hand side of the tank? Even with a faulty / stuck level sensor I would have expected some sort of reading. Many thanks in advance ...

I've just acquired a lovely 2003 diesel Connoisseur but it has a few quirks, not least the alarm going off ar 4am this morning! I understand that locking the door with the key rather than remotely will prevent this happening again. Is this correct, please?

Hi folks. V6 180 Sport Auto.
When switching to A/C from economy mode or switching straight to auto mode I can no longer hear the compressor cut in.
Car has been laid up for 5 months as I was housebound due to a medical condition. Prior to this, had it re-gassed last spring, A/C worked as expected until I stopped using the car early September.
Can anybody get me started troubleshooting this problem please? I ...

On a saloon 2004 CDTi Connoisuer SE (facelift CDTi with under bonnet pump) 86k miles - the windscreen wipers have started going when parked. Yesterday at first it was intermittent but now today it was intermittent but now continuous. I quickly disconnected the earth on the battery without raising the bonnet too much.

It is the switch? Or should I swap the whole wiper unit by the plennium? Or is it water relays? Or relays?

Hi folks, advice appreciated please - I think I have a failing rear wheel bearing causing an intermittent ABS issue. Fault codes 18 (wrong gear at one wheel) and 00 (unknown error) read by TOAF. Vibration at 70+ the past ~1500 miles and a droning at motorway speed (but boot trim and sound deadening under rear seat removed). Occasional rubbing noises. Very occasional noises cornering one way and different noise the other way past 300 ...
