Question:-

Can anyone tell me how the coolant hoses to a Jatco transmission cooler are arranged on a 75 1.8 auto?
I suspect that the input side to the transmission cooler would be between the thermostat and the inlet to the engine, so that the transmission cooler gets a regulated temperature of coolant. Am I right? But where does it drain? Does it go back into the engine? or does it bypass the ...

Does anybody have experience of these and are they any good? I have seen one advert for a chap that rebuilds them in his shed and has a good website Roverkseries.com but is it just hype. I have bought a lovely car but the engine has been ruined and I didn't spot it. So I either scrap it or go the whole reconditioning route. I reckon that with all the faults the car will cost ...

Just looking for some advice. A friend of mine has an MG ZR with the 1.8 K series in it. And it's having trouble starting. When you turn the key, you can hear the fuel pump priming and everything getting ready, but the starter doesn't turn. If you hold the key round, it will eventually turn the engine over, and the engine starts absolutely fine. I've checked all the connections and there's nothing obvious there. ...

Is the cruise control gubbins specific to each engine? I've been looking for bits on ebay and I keep finding bits that are listed for the Kv6 and the CDTi but I can't find any bits for the 1.8. And would it depends on whether the 1.8 is a T or not? Also would love it if someone could help me fit it... At some point ...
