I have a random fault on a Rover 75 2004 2.5 v6, sometimes it fires other times nothing happens when turning the key, all the dash light come on. The local garage suggest a burnt out cable in the ignition switch post the key barrel. Any suggestions on a source for a new multi connector switch other than trawling ebay.

Is anyone able to clarify what parts there are at the top of the front struts? This £10 part seems to be one part called the support and bearings. As if all that is needed? But more expensive parts and Rimmer Bros seem to list the need for one part which is the support for around £40 and a second part a ring that is called bearing at around £20. Does anyone know if the ...

Does anyone know if there are short cuts to changing a clutch slave cylinder? Initial search seems that to access the slave there is need to drop the subframe and both struts are affected to get the gearbox out?

Please can anyone remind me on how to tell if the limp pedal is is the Slave failing or the Master?

Clutch pedal has gone limp (100% failed) with the car on the drive. Happened as I was parking. Years ago it would have moments of going limp so I have a master cylinder (without new pipe) here ready in case it went.

But for the last week on pressing the clutch pedal there was ...

I've acquired a Pektron Trafficmaster Alert ECU with a job lot of spares - surely these are no use now the system no longer operates, correct? Yet Rimmers still sell them brand new for £90 and there are s/h ones on eBay??

I think it's useless and should be recycled as WEEE, or am I missing something?

I cleaned grit out of my drivers side front brake but still feel there is a grinding noise from the front wheel or transmission (noise there if out of gear and coasting with engine off) and in front of the driver. If I lean to put my head by the centre console the noise is quiet but noisy when listening sitting normally by the steering wheel. I just had the front o/s wheel off and ...
