I've acquired a Pektron Trafficmaster Alert ECU with a job lot of spares - surely these are no use now the system no longer operates, correct? Yet Rimmers still sell them brand new for £90 and there are s/h ones on eBay??

I think it's useless and should be recycled as WEEE, or am I missing something?

Those of us whom have a diesel R40 and a under bonnet fuel pump know that at some time this may need changing, hopefully this thread will help you to do that for your self.

Through out this post the under bonnet fuel pump will be referred to as(UBFP)always purchase the best one you can which is most certainly the Pierburg in my opinion.

I cleaned grit out of my drivers side front brake but still feel there is a grinding noise from the front wheel or transmission (noise there if out of gear and coasting with engine off) and in front of the driver. If I lean to put my head by the centre console the noise is quiet but noisy when listening sitting normally by the steering wheel. I just had the front o/s wheel off and ...

On my 06 reg CDTi it was pointed out at the Nano that my Air Con Condenser has failed and there are lots and lost of bits falling off it.

I now have a strange noise when driving that I wonder if it could be a kind of wind noise on the air con condenser? The noise is a bit like what some of us may imagine a diff and gearbox could be like if ...

I need to check the level of fluid in my gearbox.

The Rover workshop manual at Paragraph 10 states,

'Discard sealing washer'.

Is this necessary? I have not found the washer on the Jatco parts list.

Cheers

Afternoon,
I have been trying to dry out the carpet in my car and having moved the front passenger seat back as far back as it will go I can't get it to move forward again. When I press the switch there is a clicking noise but no movement. The electric adjustment of the back of the seat works fine. Any suggestions? Thanks David

I am wanting to renew the coolant asap and I just noticed on the Haynes Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0-uuJk7Rk0 that the coolant drain plug has a seal that Haynes say should be replaced

But Rimmer Bros https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID001585 does not list the existence of a seal so I cant know before I start what size seal to get. I assume I have to risk the old ...

At the Nano Saturday 30 August 2025 some of us discussed how to get around a clutch going and whether DIY is possible and some were keen to see this Youtube link. I am not sure where best to post the link for some of those at the Nano to see

Regards the Aircon Condenser Autodoc seems to be one of the cheaper at £59 new delivered. But the sizes offered seem to differ? How would we know which part is correct?

Is the next Nano able to de-gas to fit? Or should I de-gas asap and start to fit?

I have had this 2005 CDTi saloon for 8 years in November and never got around to making the original radio/CD or rather a replacement work. It has just past the MOT so worth doing a few improvements. Any suggestions on the best way to have a working radio etc?

I have a working 1990s Vauxhall Cavalier radio tape cassette. I am not sure whether that would fit? Or what sort of Radio music player ...
