Well that didn't go to plan rain all day yesterday again, so hopefully one of the days this week the shed will get finished inside, and i can get back to normal in there, still waiting on a very good dry day to do the PTU drain hole on the FL2

We took the opportunity to have a walk around the local park (Roundhay Park) today as the rain held off. It's just under 2 miles around the lake but it is a nice level walk that doesn't put too much strain on Marinas' knee.
my shed clean up will take more than just one day when I decide to tackle it (read "when I can be bothered"). It has become a bit of a dumping ground over the very wet winter.
Welcome to all who have managed to migrate ;)

Didn't know you were Roundhay. Another friend of mine, from school lives in Roundhay. You have probably come across him and his wife walking their dog (black lab called Esme).

Grey and overcast here in NE England today but no rain yet that I've noticed. Took the plunge and ported away from Sky to my long-standing PAYG deal with 02. I actually informed Sky in good time last month that I would not be renewing my contract deal with it so our contract ended when the deal expired back then.

Sky has suddenly woken from the dead after receiving my porting info, it had deployed ignorance against my previous and repeated requests to communicate with it. I received a belated offer of 30% off my current plan, very strange as I don't have one and my previous plan expired last month as mentioned above. I have asked Sky, what is this plan of which you speak. I await its reply. :-?

Wet and raining here in NE England today. Bin day for recycling stuff and the bin is ready to retrieve but I'm hoping and waiting for the rain to subside before I venture outside to get it. At least I no longer have a shed to sort, a couple of years or so ago a storm did a proper job of doing that and ... the shed is no more. Much of the stuff inside it was new and little used, a shiny new wacker plate that I had only ran to test which courtesy of the storm and the soaking it received now looks like it was pulled off a scrap heap. Ditto all of the other contents some of which has since been binned so no more sheds for me. :(

Both my sheds leak, it's a real problem as they also flood in winter due to the large amount of clay in the back garden. I usually relocate for my tinkering into the dining room for winter shed work but with that being recently redecorated I'm getting the "don't you dare" look from the missus.

I would never be able to do any work in our house with car stuff that's for sure, ordered some plywood yesterday and timber to make an extension on my shed to relocate items i seem to keep accumulating, not one for throwing anything away, of cause im called an hogger by the wife.

Looking dry here today so might venture out and head into town. Laptop is working better since upgrading to W10, installed and played with an optimizer for it and just went with the recommended options after which I noticed that the cursor speed of movement was a bit labourious for my liking. Quick check of the options for the optimizer revealed that mouse acceleration had been turned off so turned it back on and all is well again. Just goes to show that software does not always know what is best and some features are worth keeping. 8-)

Don't you just hate the cheap crap that is produced today? We have a gazebo down the bottom of the garden, it's our little escape area where we will go and have a glass or two of wine and watch a T.V. program or two, we have lighting and tv inside ( all running on waterproof sockets and under waterproof coverings when not in use.) The Gazebo had been outside in all weathers for around 10 year and finally just under two year ago was looking a lot worse for wear.
So, we decided to dismantle the whole thing and replace the gazebo itself. We went for a mid range pop up one not a cheapo one but not up to the super expensive pagoda level. Well, around 18 month later the replacement is split and ripped more than the 10 year old one ever was. The frame is all loose and wobbly as the plastic joints are a lot thinner than the other one. You just cannot buy quality items without endless research and paying far over the odds.

Well the shed plan as been halted due to rain and winds, only managed to do the floor and the back of the shed, Dave get your self some 8ft by 4ft plywood two sides one back and a roof some felt, 3x2 frame build off a plywood floor, leave the front open, paint it after with some ducks back weather proof jobs a goodun, you could always but water proof drapes on the front.

Half way through the second month of the year yet it only seems like a couple of weeks or so since Christmas was fast approaching. This year is so far flying by, so much to do but putting two feet on top of Everest is looking easier in comparison. Trying to think of the first person to do that now but the name escapes me ... hmmm?

Bright dry day today but rather chilly outside I think. Central heating on atm while sitting with a mug of coffe mulling over my Everest conundrum above. Was it Mallory, possibly but my thinking is towards the middle of the century. Hmmm? :tea:

After 5 months of being a housebound cripple, I had a nerve root injection yesterday at Addenbrookes Hospital, lumbar spine. So far today I'm about 80% pain free, another few days and I should be able to walk to the car and actually drive it. I guess the battery may be flat as is one of the tyres, (partially). Now looking forward to a warm and dry spring, maybe even a visit to a Nanomeet. :)

HI Mick.
It is nice to hear you are getting some relief from the pain, hopefully it will continue, Nano meet would be good when the very warmer weather arrives, give the car a good run too, and get it checked out on the T4 (Testbook version 4.Computer Diagnostic System) any little jobs you may need doing which we can help with you know we will

Better days ahead then Mick and long may they continue. Mulling over going to Morrisons atm, interested in buying some wine on a clubcard offer discounted to £4 from circs £8. Australian chiraz 13% which I suspect, though might be wrong, is a red wine. I'm not a boozer but I sometimes have a glass of wine with a meal when invited and I like to take a bottle with me to share with my hosts as a matter of courtesy. It is labeled "Upturned" on the bottle which I gather is a play on Australia's position on the globe with respect to us here in the UK i.e., upside down/down under. But there is a charity concert nearby that I'm also thinking of attending at 18:30 and a trip to Morrisons could leave me strapped for time. What to do ... hmm?
