Well done Steve you are always on top of things my Freelander 1 is giving me some grief at present with things going wrong latest is back window has gone down and won’t come back up motor is making a noise but not the right noise so looks like a new regulator needed , car in daily use so have released the tailgate glass from its clamps and pushed the glass up from the inside to make sure it is up all the way put the seats down climbed in the back and wedged some wood in there to keep the glass up as a temp measure until I get a regulator ,brakes are much better now including the handbrake following removal of corrosion on one of the rear drums and replacement of both rear cylinders , just got to sort the driveshaft after sorting the window so it is trying my patience at the moment but will keep smiling

Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt

No Steve he didn’t have a FL2 in the end I looked at quite a few on line and decent prices , we went to see one in Worcester but no belts done and well past mileage so gave it a miss he has now had a Vauxhall Zafira which he has had before so likes them and only 39000 miles with a great MOT history so he’s happy and a job ticked off my list , this is his 4th car in about 6 months so I do hope he stays with this one , I have ordered a FL regulator with motor off e bay for £60 and new tyres being fitted on it Friday this week

hopefully tomorrow we will have our fibre broadband cable put it we have only been waiting nearly two months, apparently open reach which do the cable need to get permission from whom ever owns the land outside your home property, before they can dig up the path and then tunnel the cable to your house, then you have to wait for sky or whom you are with to connect you up, what a rig maroll is there such a word?

i have a feeling i will have to lift the fence out side our front garden for them to get under it :hissyfit:

Time for a feet up me thinks, so much going on just now. Good news is that the insurance company have been pushed along and Marina's sister is currently at Heathrow. She will be transported home to Leeds shortly where family can all say their goodbyes

WOE now has working air con, non leaking steering pump (got to clean my block paving up now) and a good handbrake. Took it to College Motors in Burford and left it there for a few days. Just want the hot weather back again now.

Need to get the leak sorted on the A/C on the 75 (that wasn't there before the engine swap ) but at least I got my new compressor back from him, just need to fit it now and renew the O rings for good measure.

Very nostalgic what clothing are you going to wear, or do you still have the gear from 40yrs ago if you do i bet they don't fit, so your talking about 1985 when you were in your early 20s rock, pop, jazz, what music get someone to video your jam.

I am preparing the Orkeye for it's MOT on Friday so not as enjoyable as your day

You flatter me. In 1986 when we started I was 30, your right about the clothes though long since thrown out as too small.
