Wish I could find enjoyable things to keep me out of trouble, last job was laying a new laminate flooring @£24 per m :( and trying to bend slatted insulation wall covering around a chimney breast, not recommended for the feint hearted ( No that is not a join in the R/H alcove its an offcut stood up against the slats)

I've dabbled with Linux in the past and been thinking of giving Mint a try of late to see how it copes with the browsing experience on a growing number of sites that are being borked without any apparent regard to the demands on hardware and resources. Aliexpress is a good example, I use it occasionally but its site has become painfully slow and cluttered over recent years and I sometimes give up and go elsewhere. I have an old copy of Puppy Linux on a live CD which I have put to good use, a live CD is a good way to get into a broken operating system to try to fix it or to retrieve stuff.

Having disliked Windows from the beginning, I built a Linux powered PC in a shallow drawer under my kitchen table with the monitor mounted on an arm on the wall. Just a keyboard showing on the table top. It's much, much easier with the newer versions of Linux than it used to be.

Most of yesterday was took up doing the weekly fluid, tyre checks and lights, on the FL2 and the Kong van, then clearing a blockage in the sewer system which gets blocked up every 2/3weeks, been like it for 12yrs or more now, seven Trent could not give a dam, mind the pun, then onto cooking dinner seabass peppers and rice, so Linux will have to wait no rush for it really as it's going on a spare laptop.

Freelander day here yesterday too, tyre pressure monitor came on and said front offside wasn't reporting ( not low pressure). Checked pressures all OK. Came out half hour later to investigate and it was then reporting OK. Suspect the battery in the wheel is on its last legs.

MY14 HSE doesn't have those thankfully, can never understand why they are on cars, you would know if your tyre was flat or low just by looking at them once a week or even everyday, after all it's a walk round the car? but we cannot stop progress

PS Dave i like those wooden slat panels very on trend.

Sitting waiting for my electric blanket to take the chill off my bed before retiring for the night. Dental appointment tomorrow afternoon which may or may not be my last with my current dentist. I pay for NHS treatment with him but he is going private only and a private plan with him will apparently cost ~ £17+/mth. I've yet to decide. :bed:
