Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt

I'd forgotten I were a member, since having my Jaaaag.

Boy has it been a difficult time with it the past 2 years or so. Getting it a visit from a mobile paint bloke on Thursday as it's got a few nasty scars on it for one reason or another but it is 20 years old and a rather low 73k on it.

Hi Gary.
Nice to see you over here a few members on here moved over to a Jag when their R40 was either unrepairable or just fancied a change myself i migrated to first a Freelander 1 and a rover then Rover and a Freelander 2 now it's two times Freelander 2.

Which Jaguar do you have ?

3ltr S-Type.

Had a persistent mis-fire that was repeatedly mis-diagnosed as faulty coil packs/spark plugs. Even when I'd told the garages they were wrong they insisted they weren't. The garage I used to use went out business so I had to find another, they said they'd fixed it and when it returned said they was nothing else they could do. I got it to a Jag specialist who also mis-diagnosed it as the same problem and I think caused a lot of damage which nearly resulted in me scrapping it; although I couldn't prove it. Decided to give it another chance with another Jag specialist who, after a couple of further mis-diagnosed issues - coil pack and plugs - got it down to a faulty engine temp sensor. They also repaired the damage caused by one or other of the previous garages.

I've still got an secondary alarm issue but that's not a problem as such will sorted when it's in for it's annual over the summer.

Love it to bits though.

I'll try and post a little more often.

Miss me ZT a little though.

Having said that if I change the Jaaaag in the future I may well go for a FFR.

We'll see.
