Rover 75 - rear upper suspension arm by Kymeister

Kymeister
Hi all, I've been trying to remove the offside rear upper suspension arm on my 2005 conniesseur for AGES, in order to replace - beyond my capacity to drop the whole subframe so just trying to remove it separately. Managed to detach at hub side but the inner bolt is hard to access. Managed to get a 15mil ring spanner on but it just spins endlessly without releasing, seemingly.
Has anyone else here had a similar problem and/or could offer any tips on how to proceed? Many thanks in advance

The inner nut on the upper arm is a captive nut that is impossible to get a grip of, if it is just spinning the it has come loose from its cage, Whilst some have cut into the subframe to access this (not recommended) the best and proper way is to remove the subframe, it's not as hard as you think once you have the upper an lower arms disconnected from the hub its only 4 bolts plus antirollbar and once off you can wire brush, tidy it up and paint. If you have got as far as removing the hub from the upper then you are well on your way.
Welcome to all who have managed to migrate ;)
