Has something happened to the owners club, I can't get it on tapatalk now? Don't have a laptop now so it's difficult on my phone with the Internet site.

Working ok for me Dave but I don’t use tapatalk, only thing new I have noticed is an extra step on log in confirming that I am a human !

Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt

I can use it by logging on through an Internet search, but it is awkward to use on my phone. It's only recently I've not been able to access it by tapatalk, just wondered if the robot question has affected access by tapatalk then.

I'm intrigued by the recent addition of the cloudflare obstruction on the OC. Not one bot should be on a site without prior verification and acceptance by a site's owner, ditto the areas on a site where a bot may or may not be granted permission to crawl. Security features within most if not all forum software exists to prevent such breaches so assuming that the door is kept firmly shut to unwanted bots (an open-door policy would be madness) I wonder how 20,000 gained access to the OC. :geek:

yes the extra signing in is now getting a bit monotonous, bots should not have been able to get access in the first place, running a site oe forum on the cheap is never going to be any good is it really.

Just tried to get in and got this below.

What happened?
The origin web server does not have a valid SSL certificate.

What can I do?
If you're a visitor of this website:
Please try again in a few minutes.

If you're the owner of this website:
The SSL certificate presented by the server did not pass validation. This could indicate an expired SSL certificate or a certificate that does not include the requested domain name. Please contact your hosting provider to ensure that an up-to-date and valid SSL certificate issued by a Certificate Authority is configured for this domain name on the origin server. Additional troubleshooting information here.

I have always wondered how when you do a search on google Rover 75 the OC come up first, now i am wondering if it is because bots were allowed to roam, that is reason why, can't understand why the community is not used more than it is either, the same people are members on both sides i would say.

yes cloud flare in in action again.

Yes Steve, some bots are essential to maintaining a Google ranking. Google bots are sent out to crawl sites and they report back to Google with their findings, Google then uses the info to determine where in its search ranking a site appears. Could be top of the bill on page one or as in most cases so far down as to be not very visible. Search engine optimisation (SEO) encompasses this, something to keep an eye on if a site wishes to remain visible in a search. But a site can become too focused on SEO in chasing a higher search ranking and allow too many bots, some of which may not be harmless. The bot door on a site is in its backroom where the Webmaster or maybe a trusted Administrator can open or close it as required. Problems abound when malicious bots somehow gain entry via that door or maybe by breaking and entering elsewhere. :panic:

This site allows Google and some other bots to crawl the site. All Chinese and Russian bots are excluded. I do use and always have PHBBSEO extension, but ranking really depends very much on traffic as well as search engine optimisation.
