A device for sale on the internet is allowing thieves to steal BMWs and other high-end cars without the need for the owner's keys, a BBC Watchdog investigation has found.

Some students at MIT managed to follow a car owner who had Keyless entry, transmit the key data from the bag back to another student at the car and the car opened. No taking of the keys, no prints, no forced entry, no evidence of anything other than the original key used to open the car. With the car properly opened, the students could of taken anything they wanted. It was just a demonstration though so no harm done eh! Or maybe....
