135 Diesel Remap - Help Needed Please by Mad-Monkey

Mad-Monkey
I would quite like to have a crack at this over the summer, work is usually blissfully quiet, and all of my essential and important projects are now finished. I'm now just basically pottering around until September ;) with a bit of work inbetween of course! :D

For me to stand a chance of trying to understand the unlock codes, I need to lay my hands of a few first. I did ask on the other forum and it didn't seem to spark much interest.

Members who have had the upgrade from xpart will have been given a CD and a code, in the event of something going awol and the ECU (Engine Control Unit) needing to be recoded. If you have had this upgrade done, and you do not mind, please could you let me know, by PM, your unlock code and VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). They will be held in the strictest of confidence.

Xpart calculate the code with software so I suspect its going to be bloody hard to work out, so the more codes I have the better.

Many Thanks

Sorry Paul, I haven't. I had a problem with a USB stick and lost a load of work, unfortunately your data was on it. Any chance of getting it again?

Many Thanks

You should have been given the information in case of any future problems etc.
Standard in UK, but cannot say for Germany.
The garage should have given it to you on work being completed Jürgen.

I still love this marque and I will still be around, preferred selling to breaking, as a great runner and performer"

Well, it hasn't been some garage, but the German branch of MG Rover. So nowhere to complain about it these days. :hissyfit:

I'll have to keep my fingers crossed then, that I'll never need this information again. ;)

I should think that XPart will provide the information you need Jürgen if you have a receipt for the work having been done.

Good point, Paul. As I do have a receipt, I now can have peace of mind, too.

You'll need to quote your VIN number as well I would think :)

Yes, it's definitively used for generating the desired code.
