On the 18th November the Department of Work and Pensions kindly paid £200 in to my bank account being the first payment I have received of the Winter Fuel Allowance.

On the 27th November I received a letter from the Department of Work and Pensions informing me that they were going to pay £200 in to my bank account.

Don't get me started about waste of my money.

In a somewhat similar vein... I have just had delivered a 32 page full colour magazine from our local council bragging how good they are. In it they claim that a survey they allegedly held resulted in a 75% view that they gave good value for money.
WHAT! They must be living in cloud cuckoo land.
I just don't believe it. Obviously must have been a very selective survey and they certainly didn't ask me. Probably stopped all the teen-aged unmarried mothers parading in the local town centre and asked them.
