What's the easiest way to remove the bonnet-lock-mechanisms? by during_the_sixties

Hi,
Anyone know of an idiots guide to removing the bonnet-lock-mechanisms (eg: bonnet catches) preferably with pics.

Preferably without having to remove to much of the cars front end.

Only one way really bumper off slam panel off with lights attached and replace if they are playing up or damaged, if already damaged and you can not get the bonnet up then that is another story.
