Didn't know where to post this so can a mod move it if in the wrong forum. :D

RAC renewal notice. Roadside and recovery.
    Membership cost £115.50
    Membership savings £25.95
    Total payable £89.55

Same deal on RAC web site.
    Membership cost £101.50
    Online discount £28.25
    Total payable £73.25

Same deal after a phone call to find out what the hell is going on.
    Membership cost £115.50
    Membership savings £49.57
    Total payable £65.93
Which I thought was a reasonable deal.

It just goes to show how imprecise these quotes are.

I've phoned an insurer before now and having phoned them back 30 minutes later got a considerable discount on the initial quote.

Try them again tomorrow Mick, it might be even less ;)

Good idea, renewal is in 6 days so I have time to play them off against others. Thanks. :thumbsup:
