Hi All,Just replaced leaky thermostat on my 2.5 75 Conn, Car made in 1999 but not registered until June 2004.Just 27k on clock and had since new.Within all the pink gunk I cleaned out of the engine V and amongst all the gravel and sycamore leaves I found an unidentified clip.I put this to one side and a day after completing the work I cleaned and examined this clip.I then found it fitted over the housing joint perfectly bracing against the weight of the hoses which appears to crack the heat sealed joint which is the problem.
This clip does not appear on any parts diagram within Rave and has no marks other than a stamped 0.Has anyone else have any idea as three or four of these would brace the thermostat joint totally.
