Key Fob Battery Change by Chartermark

I'm sure a few years back in blissful ignorance I just flipped the fob open and fitted a new CR2032 with no problems. However having read a few threads on 'the other place' that purport tales of abject horror for such naivety, I'm now loathe to try it again. Has anyone else been as lucky as I was last time, or is such an elementary task inviting the wrath of the dreaded IPK (Instrument pack (IPK from the German)) centre monster etc etc?

I'm not an expert on these matters, but I would say if you change the battery out of range of the car, (a good distance away) I don't see a problem.

But I'm sure a more expert opinion will be along........

I've changed batteries in the car before with no issues. If it loses sync you can do the unlock button press four times.

I did mine a couple of weeks ago. I was expecting to have to re-sync, but didn't have to. No problems at all.

If all else fails......read the instructions.

Is there a reason why it should?
