Commercial embellishment.... by Raistlin

... is a new way of saying "telling lies"

I bought something from fleabay recently and it didn't turn up when it should have done so I contacted the seller and received back a message about family bereavement and that "all outstanding orders will be shipped today via our high speed courier and tracking numbers will be issued immediately."

Tracking number was not forthcoming.

Eventually, the item arrived... via second class standard post.

I queried this with the seller and mentioned that it appeared that I'd been lied to.

The reply? :-

"That's not lying, it's commercial embellishment. It's hardly our fault if you take it as literal."

It always amazes me just how much lying is considered acceptable human behaviour. Is it any wonder I don't trust anybody?

I know just how you feel Mick more so in the Medical field.

I still love this marque and I will still be around, preferred selling to breaking, as a great runner and performer"
