Clutch again.... by Zeb

Martin has very kindly got me a price for replacing everything clutch related on my 190 (not including the DMF!) but I have also asked at my village garage as the owner runs an MG ZT and a 75. He recently replaced all his clutchy bits on his 1.8 turbo but did so by removing the front end of the car, releasing the engine and simply sliding it forward - up on ramps of course! As that way there is no need to detach everything else to do the job and it saves much time...seems reasonable to me but what do others think? He is going to give me a quote on Monday for labour only as I have now acquired a Lockheed(?) clutch kit...
