Electric mirror switch not working by Wheelnut

Hi, the switch for the mirrors have stopped working all the other window controls still OK, any thoughts or fixes, please remember I am NO mechanic!! :confused:

takestock
thin blade under the switch assy and it pops out. disc the two electrical connectors.

you will see clips on the side of the switch a thin blade down the side of these will release the top and switches. remove this then lift up the membrane and clean the pads below. re-assemble :)

A good tool for the cleaning, is one of the slightly rough erasers found on top of some pencils, or a similar tool!

Had a problem with my mirror switch today which took out a 5 amp fuse near the bottom of the fuse box under the glove box. You will know if this one blows 'cause your ATC (Automatic Temperature Control) and audio will disapear and your car won't start (2.0 CDTi Connie SE Highline). hope you sort it ok.

Thanks for the help folks, yep all sorted gave it a good clean and off we go it's fine now, thanks for the advice.

In my 75 I've found as a temporary measure when you hold the switch down give it a wiggle and it makes contact. This temporary measure has now lasted for three months
