Driving Licence Renewal by Borg Warner

Well it's that time to renew our driving licences, so Googled "DVLA Licence Renewal" and the first site I see is this one:

http://www.driverlicence.co.uk/driving/ ... wwodUbkAyQ

Immediately suspicious as there's no .GOV anywhere, reading through it they will assist you with your application for a modest fee of £95.

£14 from the official site:

https://www.gov.uk/renew-driving-licence

I know we are an astute bunch but just in case.

Had the replacement ones back to day. All good and took less than 2 weeks. Good old DVLA - super efficient, reliable and quick.

This week onwards the paper part of your driving licence is no longer required and isn't even issued.
The new photo ID card has all the information on it now including all offences and points you have in code.
So now you can add it to your Credit cards in your wallet. About time, this should have been done years ago, but no reduction in cost although saving on not printing all those paper section licences.

I still love this marque and I will still be around, preferred selling to breaking, as a great runner and performer"

Used to carry mine in my wallet, good for ones ID. Too good. An awful lot of info on it, address, DOB and signature, so if lost or stolen could mean a lot of trouble. At least I can cancel the credit cards.

DVLA must be coining it in what with the double whammy on the car tax and now the savings on the paper licenses as well as the tax discs all the pot holes will be filled in by Christmas???
