A tale from the Court. by raistlin

We had a chap defending a speeding charge in front of us on Friday.

51mph in a 40mph zone, caught by a fixed camera.

His defence?

He suffered cramp in his right leg, just as he was passing through the speed check, and it made his leg muscles cause him to push on the accelerator pedal.

Let's just say that his defence didn't have the effect he was hoping for and I'd not recommend it to anybody as a good idea.

His driving license should be revoked for as long as his medical condition hasn't been cured, as in the meantime he's a danger for others. ;)

Reminds me of the stories we heard about those who had their cruise control stuck at 200 kph in their Renault cars on French highways...
