Well I never!,this lass is a very good freind of a chum of mine at work,we have been following her career from day one and its really great to see how far she has come!!There is a lot of talent out there............and I don't mean X Factor Cover Versions either!!
She has just been announced as the support act for Cold Play's US tour. ( maybe TF put a word in for her 
)

She has been in the business a while writing for others and whatever success she does have will be much deserved.
She has been in the business a while writing for others and whatever success she does have will be much deserved.Well I almost had a chat to her tonight at work on the phone!.she had called my freind and he could not find me(its always the way isn't it).It seems she has knocked the late W.H., off the top record,the thing about this girl is that not only can she sing..........she writes the songs as well,true talent.
I think for staying power you need to be able to write in the industry, otherwise in general writers and trends, flavour of the month and fan base move on.
Having listened to the album a few times it may be a little too good, ( if you like her type of music ) with few if any "filler tracks" It's going to be very hard to follow

She's on BBC Breakfast right now doing an acoustic version......
Saw it, real first name....Adele, decided to change it last year after, well Adele became a household name. Written a few songs for well known artists too. Good voice live this morning. Good luck to her

If so you'll have seen aspiring singer Ruth Brown having a go at "Next To Me". No offence to the girl, but inexplicably everyone is raving about her, whereas we thought she slaughtered the song. Have a look here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfBE6R4MsaM
At 26 seconds when she gets to the first "You'll find him, you'll find him next to me" it sounds more like "You'll vind um, you'll vind um negsumee". And what those facial expressions were about, I don't know!
Apparently she has conceded that she needs to work on her diction (and in fairness, I'm sure she sings a billion times better than I ever could!)

Well what a difference to somebodys life in under 12 months, top selling album, no 1 single/s collaborations with many top artists. Such an amazing talent, nice to see her recognised as such, i bet she has trouble keeping her feet on the ground just now

A genuine talent indeed. Her performances at both the opening and closing Olympic Ceremonies were amazing.
Having seen and heard her being interviewed she is obviously very intelligent - I'm sure her feet will stay firmly planted on the ground
It seems to me that most other young female singers only sell records on the back of the soft porn videos they make to accompany their tracks . . .
