I need to replace one of the gear selector cables on my 75, V6.
i assume this is done underneath the vehicle.
I have loosened the heat shield just above the exhaust pipe, but the shield is still in place.
what now ?
1.
can i remove the heat shield without removing the exhaust assembly, i.e. sliding it backward ?
or is it possible to only lower the exhaust assembly by loosening some bolts at the back ?
2.
once in, how do i disconnect the cable from the gear lever ?
appreciate any advice from your experience.
