Long time 75 owner - Hello all by KENHAYES2477

Hello and thank you for letting me join.

My name is Ken and I am the owner of a Rover 75 2.5L.

I have owned the car for nearly 20 years of which, 12 were very pleasuable driving before dry storing the car for 8 years due to an engine problem.

The car is a 99 plate dealer launch model and is in near perfect visual order. I have now moved the car around to my carport where the engine will now be removed, overhauled/repaired whatever is required.

I am also planning whilst the motor is out is to do a full refresh on the aircon system, brake pipes and other hard to get at components at the same time.

Suspension will again be fully refreshed both back and front and I may even venture into removing the subframes as well, being retired I have plenty of time.

As a precautionary measure I have a set of full length sills coming from TJ Hobbs, jacking points are all good as i sprayed the inners years ago with Waxoyl (Fingers crossed).

I live in Germany but the car is UK RHD, original registration of the car is V211 LAB. Has anyone on here owned this car?

Anyway, I look forward to reading other members contributions and maybe even adding some of my own.

Welcome. It still shows on our UK DVLA database, though as untaxed and no MOT. Both expired 2007. No surprise I guess given you have it in Germany. Which Blue? Wedgewood or Atlantic. Most (if not all) were Wedgewood I believe. I have a 1999 built 2.0 V6 though registered in 2000 not dealer launch and Arden Green. A couple of weeks ago we had another dealer launch car present at what we call Midlands Nanomeets. That was Wegewood blue and probably the same spec as yours.

Hello and thank you for the welcome.

Its Wedgewood blue car with neptune blue interior and all the embossing etc.
Most R75s in Germany are also the 2.0 variant, with thheir age really showing there are quite a few coming onto the market. I just picked up a 2.5L estate cheap as a bit of a donor car to help with the renovating of mine albeit mine is not an estate!
