Tripod reccomendations. by podge

I am looking for a good quality tripod,my set up weighs in at over 2.5kg.I cannot afford a Gitzo but am prepared to pay a fair sum.So far its Manfrroto,Giottso,Benro.I have an old Benbo,which is brilliant.....like a set of bagpipes to use but not strong enough for this load!I have treated myself to a lovely ball/socket head...

p.s. something that folds down for travelling would be very useful too.

Sorry for the late reply,I eventually bought a Uni Loc,made by a one man band,a really interesting guy and for the money top quality but needs a bit of "lateral thinking" to use.
