Would the fitting of these require wiring behind the dash?? I was fitting footwell lights today and found 3 large wires with inline blade fuses fitted, one 25 amp and two 10 amp, and the wiring goes into the loom under the instruments and down behind the boot/bonnet release

A normal Rover towing install requires a feed from the front, and a link to the light switch, but these are conventionally run down the left side because that's where the feed wire comes from.

Any other towing kit: could have done anything. Power is required to the rear, and to the bypass relay which would have to be fitted.

On the other hand, could easily be feeds for a phone kit that's been fitted and then removed.

What colour wires, what value fuses?
