I have an intermittant fault on my Tourer Tailgate. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Being intermittant it is a complete pain trying to find exactly where the fault is without stripping the whole thing down. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA, Mike.
An intermittent tailgate lock on a Rover 75 Tourer is usually caused by a failing tailgate actuator motor, a loose wire, or sticking mechanical parts in the latch.
Either way I think you will need to remove the interior trim items to expose the actuator, hope this helps.
