Thanks for the suggestions.
In the end I sprayed the visors with Bilt Hamber Surfex HD (water based degreaser) which was worked gently into the visors. I then gently rubbed a Microfibre cloth to remove the dirt.
The visors came up very well indeed I am am very pleased with the results.
