I have decided to sell my Midnight Blue Rover 75 2.0CDTi. mileage 126708
It was left to me by an 84 year old friend who after a short illness passed away in December 2025. From March – December 2025 he drove it about 2,000 miles
I wanted to keep the vehicle if only for sentimental reasons, but I just do not however have room or use for another vehicle.
What he had done to the vehicle in the last few years from what I recall him telling me.
Front shock absorber.
Both rear sills welded.
Rear suspension arms.
Clutch, slave cylinder, master cylinder, just before he became to unwell to drive
Gearbox oil changed.
What I did for him in the last few years.
Remote control electric windows.
New IGN key fob case to both keys with new batteries.
Rear silencer.
Starter motor refurb.
New front grille badge
New wheel center cap badges.
Alternator refurb ( I think as I did several)
Front and rear discs and pads
Brake shoes.
fitted a FBH (Fuel burning heater.) I hooked up to turn on the ATC (Automatic Temperature Control) after 5 min delay that runs without fault
New lock actuator motors on a front door and rear door (forgot which)
New interior roof lining.
Engine lower mount.
Boot struts.
Bonnet struts.
Factory tape player replacedwith a MG Rover CD player.
The FBH and electric windows operate using a single 4 button remote of which there are two
Since I took ownership of the vehicle.
Driving it home I noticed the handbrake was operating evenly, I remember him saying they needed adjusting. While adjusting the handbrake I noticed the back plates were worn and needed replacing, so I ordered a new pair that are in the boot. I also noticed the N/S shock absorber has started to leak so I replaced it with a good used one. The O/S front tyre was below the limit around the outside edge, so I had a new tyre fitted.
April.
Changed the oil (Shell Helix synthetic 5W/30).
New oil filter (Genuine MG Rover)
New air filter.
New Pollen filter.
Serviced the FBH.
I drove it home, drove it to have a tyre fitted, drove it to MOT, drove it shopping and to clean the discs a few times, covering just over 100 miles in total since MOT
Both IGN keys present.
V5 present.
2025 & 2026 MOT cert’s present.
The bodywork has seen better days.
He had a go at touching up the body work, there are overspray marks on the roof and a few other places, that probably need polishing out, but I don’t know.
The boot has crazy paving like I have never seen in my life, that needs sanding out and re spraying.
Nice to drive.

Door actuators that have had the motors replaced.

Pair of rear MG Rover flexi brake hose NEW.
3 ABS (Antilock Braking System) Wear sensors.
