hi to all
today i changed the Steering Column and steering wheel there was play and a knocking when i turned the steering wheel all went well but i found a piece of metal 100 mm by 40 mm looks like a spacer or shim can anyone tell me where it has come from the Steering Column

Are you able to post a photo? and may be with a ruler or something that shows the size?

It may possibly help to clarify whether it is a solid shim or does it have a hole like a washer?
