John. It might be worth disconnecting the 'bell' wire in your wiring. I used to get around 2MBPS but am getting over 5 these days.

I am so far from nearest exchange 8miles that it is only recently above 1.5mbps with a promised new top speed of 10.5mbps when new fibre optic system starts for this area. A lot of extra cost for the promised gain at present, I use to have that extra BT box in socket, that slowed it down.
Thanks for advice Duncan, Disconnected the bell wire but hasn't helped Duncan. :hissyfit: Well it has as use to be under 1mbps.
