A very dear old friend visited me at the College today and guess what he had on the back of a trailer, attached to his (ahem) Mercedes?
It was a track prepared Renault 5 Gordini turbo homologation special, the mid engined one.
I got to drive it around the peri-track and one or two runs along the runway.
My god that thing is fast - too fast for me I have to tell you
The only time I'm happy travelling at that sort of velocity and with that sort of acceleration is in something with wings 
In fact, I think I overtook a Typhoon and left it for dead
BEAST of a car and a beautiful thing.
