Exhaust Gaskets by KENHAYES2477

I am seeking some clarity please regarding where the front exhaust manifold down pipe meets the front port on the catalytic converter.

The car in question is a Rover 75 1999 2.5 KV6..

The flange on the front exhaust manifold downpipe has 2 bolts and they are wider than the 2 bolts on the corresponding rear flange. I ordered 2 gaskets from DMGRS and they stated they are correct front and rear but the gasket for the front does not fit of course. They assured me that both front and rear ports on the catalytic converter where it joins with the exhaust manifold downpipe have gaskets but i have read elsewhere that only the rear has a gasket and the front does not because of its ball joint configuration.

Does anyone on here know what the correct fitting is, and, if the front exhaust manifold downpipe has a gasket where it can be sourced?

Many thanks

Ken

Long, long time since I did this but I seem to remember (quite surprisingly) the front bank was indeed a cup and cone affair.
Sorry I cannot be more helpful on this one.
Welcome to all who have managed to migrate ;)
