So very sad to hear of the passing of one of our great comics and writers.

Yes a true Genius,we seem to have a different sense of humour these days.The likes of Eric,Tony Hancock,Benny Hill,Ronnie Barker,Eric Morecombe.I could go on,one of my great treasures are tapes(the reel to reel type)of Peter Sellers and Harry and Spike....

Ahh the Goons - Eric Sykes co-wrote episodes for, I think, just 1 series of the Goons.

Whenever I see someone carrying a plank of wood Eric's film comes to mind and I break out into a smile.

The man was a comic genius and will be missed.
