Google has turned a blank... Does anyone know if it's possible to obtain maps of the drains? Just wondered if it's something that is publically available?

Yes I believe they are, try your water supplier companies website and your local authority website, somewhere under property services. Best to try the A-Z search function.
If your property was built after 1937 you should not have too much of a problem.
