I bought a bag of fruit and nuts from Wolverhampton market today. You know the sort of thing; raisins with almonds, pea-nuts, brazils, walnuts, pecans, cashews etc.

There was a warning label on the back of the bag which read:-

"Warning - may contain nuts."

I once had a bag of shelled Brazil nuts that said:

"Warning - may contain traces of nuts"

So what were those yellow things then?

I love the use of "may" in these!

If it doesn't contain nuts, then there is something seriously amiss!

Well, if it's not just a bag of nuts it is possible that you could get a bag containing fruit only. So maybe they are right.

It's harder to justify putting the same warning on bags of peanuts...
