After i jump started the car my brake lights stay on permanently and central locking don't work even after I take the key out of the ignition , any pointers would be grateful
If you are jump starting your car it suggests that your battery has problems. These cars do funny things if the battery is at all suspect. It is well documented.
I suggest that if the battery is normally Ok then charge it up well and then disconnect for a short time to allow the systems to reset or if the battery is on its last legs to replace it. The cars behave badly unless the battery is in tip-top condition.
