Bracket for later Highline radio tuner with dual tuners by Bolin

Bolin
Hi folks!

I am looking for a bracket for the later Highline radio unit with dual tuners (radio part no. XQC000240, can he seen here: https://www.xdalys.lt/en/product/12398366248/). It will also fit the BMW BM54 and BM54 Back radios.

It sits in the spare wheel well on the driver's side, I think it was fitted new to cars from 2005 and maybe late 2004. If anyone has removed their Highline and has this later bracket going spare please let me know!

Thanks, Bolin.

Yes I found that the newer radio doesn't fit the older bracket. I'm afraid I 'modified' (bodged) the older bracket to hold it as no-one sees it. Yes, I know.....

A fair number of people seem to have done that, I didn't think it would work with my bracket as it was a tight fit fit even with a BM24. However having had a closer look at where it touches (the BM54 will go in partially very very tight before jamming completely) I think it might fit if I opened up the bracket. The metalwork overlaps and utilising some of that overlap would effectively lengthen the bracket and the bend radii should be affected such that it will fit I think. Also I want to weld a ULF bracket onto it, which would be easier if the bracket halves sat flush rather than with the overlap. But it is very marginal and I can't be certain without destroying the bracket (although I suppose if it doesn't work it could be welded back up as it was).

Yes, I split mine on one corner, and it holds well enough.
