Wasn't I reading elsewhere that fuel prices were actually coming down, with folks posting about how it was happening in their areas, and some even saying it had dropped below £1:30 a litre?

Not happened here.... :( Even Tesco is still £1:41.9

Unleaded was offered at £131.9 up the road from me, popped in to take advantage, as you do..

Weasel is £1.38 at local Sainsburys today. Cost me £80 to fill up :( ... and that's with 15p per litre discount.

As for the cancellation, being in the public sector I'll be paying for it through the nose elsewhere regardless.

Seems the pressure from the public has paid off?

Will be filling the Freeloader up today as well as San's Rav then that will be me until the new year - hip op' on Monday so not going very far.
