Paul where did you get the power from, reverse wires or straight off the lamp ?

My head unit has the function of selecting reverse view on demand Andy, as well as when reverse gear is selected, so I ran an ignition controlled live from the front of the car at the same time as I laid in the video cable.

If you only want it powered when reversing then I'd splice it to the reversing lamp wiring at one of the rear light clusters.
