Hi folks,

I sold an item on Ebay earlier in the week and was paid by Paypal who took their £2-£3.

The purchaser has now sent me a message saying they don't want the item, it was not what they thought it was, (description was 100% accurate) and can they have their money back.

No problem but am I entitled to deduct the charges I have incurred from PayPal?

This is the first time I have sold an item on Ebay so am unsure about this.

Cheers

Mike

I guess it depends on whether they have simply changed their mind because they made a mistake, or are claiming that it's not how you described it.

As I understand it, if the refund is made through ebay and paypal, the fees are refunded!

That was quite some time ago though, so may have changed!

best of luck Mike!
