Interesting documentary on C4 last night about the sinking.

It highlighted the misinformation given to passengers and included amateur footage of a crew member telling people to go back to their cabins - whilst the ship was sinking!

Assurances being given to the coastguard by the captain that they were dealing with the electircal problem - whilst the ship was sinking!

Also included a clip of him at a hotel (he had got a taxi there) telling journalists that he was the last to leave.

Also comments that the evacuation drill can take place up to 24 hours after sailing. Compares with airlines whereby the crash and evacuation presentation has to take place before take off.

I do wonder why they don't seal the gash in the side of the ship and try to refloat it?

Perhaps they cannot afford that much gaffer tape

They'll be needing one of those tools for removing boy scouts from horses hooves to dislodge the pebble from it's bottom..so to speak.

Costa Concordia paraphenalia now being listed on eBay at inflated prices apparently.

Glad to see the 75ZT Community helping out with the salvage mission.....
