Due to a position upgrade I am now eligible for a company car, due to recent redundancies (really? :))there are no new cars available so I have to pick from a pool.
this is the pool

All of the cars are available for me to pick:
Really tempted with the Vrs but also the avensis appears well specd, cute little V40 hidden away in there too ( scrap the V40 saw a white one on the road today, looked like a maggot :( Apologies \to V40 owners

Welcome any input, don't give a hoot about running costs, spares mpg company car tax etc got to let them know by Thursday evening

I would opt for the Avensis, it comes with a very useful T4 (Testbook version 4.Computer Diagnostic System).... :gmc:

Cheers

Octavia VRS would be my first thought Dave, but not having driven most of the others would necessarily be a biassed point of view :)

Hi Dave
I would be happy with any of the Skoda above VW cars really but VRS would be my first choice, who would of thought anyone would have picked a skoda but they have moved on loads since 80s and 90s plus 1000's of taxi drivers can not be wrong

The superb is, well, just that. I have the estate, but with the 170 engine, and love it. Check what kit the SE has, though, as it may not have ALL the toys you are used to. Only thing is it seems to be the oldest / highest mileage of the bunch. But it is HUGE!

Would be the BMW for me, as they do drive well!

As for the insignia, we have them at my current place of work, absolute pain to drive and the boot on the estate is unusable.

Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt

It has a stupid turn of speed, good spec. comfortable, corners like its on rails. Currently driving it like I stole it and it still returns mid 40's to the gallon but........ I was out in the 75 at the weekend, no contest when it comes to the overall cabin and driving experience, and style, well we all know the answer to that one don't we
