A tale... what is it about barristers? by raistlin

I was in Court on Friday and I recognised one of the advocates. I knew I'd met her but it was some time ago.

During a lull in the proceedings I enquired and she told me I'd been responsible for not sending her to custody for an assault some years ago when I was chairing a Youth Court. Apparently, the talking to I gave her back then was sufficient to assist in changing her lifestyle and she went on to get A levels, a law degree and called to the bar.

Curiously, this wasn't the first time I'd met an advocate who had previously been before my Bench as a youth :)

Hmm. Just confirms my view that they are all crooks. Yes, I know, I'll get my coat.
I don't like signatures, they take up too much screen space.

It means that you obviously are doing something that makes them change their ways. Which can't be a bad thing.

Whatever it is that you've done to get them on the right path, patent it and sell it to The Ministry of Justice!
