Parking Sensor Black Box by pob06

Mine is mounted vertically under the gps unit in the boot of my y plate connie and we think may have a fault.

How much is a working second hand replacement likely to cost and does anyone have one please?

I think you needed a sensor rather than ecu. Worth doing that first before the ecu :)

As above the ecu is very good quality and does not fail that often.

Stick it in reverse with the ignition in postion II and feel or listen for the sensors clicking and pulse as they work.

Any that dont are duff, if all are check the main connector for damage behind the bumper.

All the sensors were ticking, but T4 (Testbook version 4.Computer Diagnostic System) said one of the sensors was faulty. That sensor was also giving odd distance results. It may be the box, or may be the sensor, but as David suggests, the sensor is the first thing to try.

Hi, if it does turn out to be the black box then I have a spare one that I am willing to sell. I was trying to retro fit sensors to a Mk2 ZT and got this box by mistake as they are different on the Mk2 as I have found out. Anyway the box has been tested on my Mk1 Connie and is working fine. Jim

I would be looking at around £15 + postage but that said I have just spotted one on ebay that may be better (I paid the same price for the same item(s) inc loom so this might be better for you in the longer run?)

If you want the item tho please let me know. cheers. Jim
