Hi
does anyone know what sort of lacquer was applied to the mk1 walnut / leather steering wheels?
Was it acrylic, polyurethane or nitrocelulose?

Whilst I've no idea Robert, I have just sent my spare Light Oak away to a professional restorer to be stained to Burr Walnut. I will ask him, when he sends me a quote, what he intends to finish it with for you.
