I need a Digital Camera Card reader by carlpenn

carlpenn
Can anyone recommend a cheap Card reader for Digital Camera memory cards? Long story short, my Digital camera has broke, it simply stopped working  It starts up by opening the lens etc, but then wont take pictures and doesn't display anything on the LCD Screen :( Its out of Warranty now too, typical !!

So I need a Card reader to upload the images from the Card, so I can then make the "How to" for the site as all the images from my Manifold swap are on there.

I have one of these that stays in my work bag

Works well and is USB2.0. However I only use CF and SD cards so can't comment on the other 15 types its compatible with! The one on my PC is built in to the 3.5" bay and is made from HP.

I think I have one in my bits box somewhere Carl.

I'll have a look and if so you can have it, if that's of any use.

Thank you Paul, I only need it once so you can have it straight back. I just want the photo's from the Card, as they are needed for the How To and more importantly I have pictures of my Family and Kids on there.

Thank you Monk (I forgot your real name :em: ) Paul has generously offered a reader if he has it, failing that, the one you linked is the one I shall get. £6 isnt a lot for something I will only use once :D The Card I have is an SD one, so thats perfect :D

If I've got it Carl (I'll check as soon as I get home), you can keep it mate.

It's in my bits box so not in use :)

Sorry Carl :(

Loads of USB hubs but no card reader. I know I had one so must have given it away previously :(

You're not that far away from me so welcome to use my built in card reader and download onto CD if you want.
